We put out a significant ASX announcement today – confirming record levels of helium at our South Australian tenement.
The testing from the CSIRO shows the highest helium purities ever sampled in groundwater in Australia by their noble gas laboratory.
The readings of 20-25%, enhanced by our own testing at well-head and surface of up to 36.9% – give us great cause for optimism.
Remember, helium is rare and expensive and produced at sites where it has as little as 1% purity.
We can now truly be called a ‘dual threat’ in the gas industry – our natural hydrogen and helium potential means we are pushing on with plans for commercialisation of both.
We remain fully committed to developing the hydrogen reserves – it was why we were set up and this is the play that could really help the country’s decarbonisation efforts.
But what’s also key in today’s announcement is the result of our 2D seismic survey work. It says we are not yet drilling in the best spots for either gas.
Let’s think about that. Despite having hydrogen and helium at record levels at the only two wells we’ve drilled, there are likely better targets out there.
Also worth mentioning is the identification of a potentially large 180m thick and extremely high-purity helium Kulpara Dolomite zone.
We’re awaiting more results from labs in London and Paris, but the message is loud and clear – we are a two-gas explorer.
We are moving ahead with plans to identify other drill targets, and will use that data to define a commercialisation pilot project.

Meanwhile, the company has been named a finalist in the annual South Australian Premier’s Awards in Energy and Mining. Details here.
We’re very happy right now that everything is on track.
And one last thing: Investors should have received notice about our AGM, in Brisbane at 11am on Monday, October 21.
Proxy votes need to be returned by Friday 19 October to the Company’s share registry.
